0092 Example Fitness Question 3
Given below are scores for four individuals on health-related fitness test items.
(Please note that on the real Praxis Exams you will only be responsible for
children in grades K-12. You will not be asked about adult fitness or learning. I used this
question as part of the final in a Fitness for Majors class in the fall of 1998. It is included
here simply as a good practice question and as an example for PETE professionals. You can
substitute ages, test items, etc. to meet your particular needs. I encourage you to write your
own practice questions by varying the age/sex, test item, and individual's score parameters.)

For each test item listed, identify the health-related fitness
component it measures.

For each of the four individuals, develop a six-week plan to
improve or maintain his or her fitness level. The plan must include appropriate activity for
each person's age and developmental level.

Identify one principle or concept from motor development, motor
learning, exercise physiology, or biomechanics and explain how it relates to one or all areas
of your six-week plan.
