To keep up with what in-service physical educators are talking about, I encourage you to subscribe to a physical education mailing list or search their archives.  I have seen several topics popular with the mailing groups make their way onto the Praxis Exams.

The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) and Sportime hane announced that the profession's two most important Physical Education and Sport "Internet Communities," are now one. PE-Talk and NASPE-L have merged to form a single ListServe called NASPE-Talk that will serve professionals in sport, physical education and physical activity across the nation and world.

NASPE-Talk will be fully funded by a non-commercial grant from Sportime. It will be housed on a dedicated server and professionally moderated by John Hichwa, the 1993 NASPE National Middle School Physical Educator of the Year. Sportime International Senior Vice President Barry Traub, the founder of PE-Talk, is very pleased to support the merger as part of Sportime’s ongoing commitment to quality physical education.

If you are a current member of either NASPE-L or PE-Talk you should automatically be registered for NASPE-Talk. You will know the transition has taken place, when your first NASPE-Talk digest arrives in your e-mail. Both subscriber lists will be merged into a single list and because we know that many of you are subscribed to both, purged of duplicate email addresses.

Adapt-talk is not affected by this merger and will continue to serve the unique needs of Adapted Physical Education and Activity professionals.
