How to Use the Study Guides

The example questions included in these pages will be helpful in identifying weakness and reviewing for the exams. I believe the best use of these example questions is to help in targeting your weak areas and guiding your test preparation. Assuming that these sample questions are actual test questions and limiting your preparation to the examples included here is a recipe for failure.

The Content Knowledge Exam includes many diagrams and questions related to motor development and fundamental skill performance. I suggest you use a motor development text to help you prepare for these questions.  In the future I hope to include some motor development diagrams with corresponding questions. In the meantime, you should look closely at diagrams of fundamental motor skills such as hopping, skipping, jumping, throwing and striking.

Any standard text for motor development will be helpful.  Some of the texts appropriate for studying motor development and preparing for this portion of the test are listed on the References and Resources page.
